The Client
The client came to me with a desire to update their process for managing confined spaces and entry permit applications. At the time they had a paper-based system that documented their confined spaces which included their location, hazards, and entry requirements. Their permit application was a PDF form that was given to the client, who processed the application and notified the appropriate departments.
My Role
My role in this project was the lead designer and developer this management system. Their paper form was converted into an online system that the client could use to manage their confined spaces. The application for entry was converted to a web form that would generate a PDF for the applicant and would forward copies of the completed application to the client and other departments.
